Ankara High Speed Train Station which is operated by Limak and the Project associates and one of the most important stations of the high-speed train network has been awarded the World’s most prestigious green building certification; LEED Gold Certificate by the U.S. Green Building Council. (USGBC).
The project started in 2013 with the aim of LEED Gold certificate and has been awarded with the Gold certification in the LEED-CS (Core and Shell) Category by fulfilling various requirements in design, construction and commissioning phases and has become the first train station with the LEED Gold certification in Turkey. As of 2019, the project also contributed Turkey rising number 1 in the highest LEED certified buildings statistics in Europe.
