Limak Balıkesir Cement was awarded with the ETA (European Technical Assessment) product certificate that enables the use of bottom ash (furnace ash) that is a waste from thermal power plants as an additive in cement production, as a first in Turkey and European Union countries, in line with the Group’s sustainability objectives.
CCBA 42,5 R and CCBA 32,5 N products of Limak Balıkesir Cement were certified with ETA-19/0620 number by obtaining approval under the “Cement with Coal Bottom Ash” name, following the application made to EOTA (European Organisation For Technical Assessment) in June 2018.
