The 6th Section of the Northern Marmara Motorway was opened with a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with a video conference.
With the completion of the 73-kilometer-long last and longest section of the Northern Marmara Motorway between Izmit and Akyazı, which was initiated with the aim of alleviating the existing system load of Istanbul, which is the intercontinental crossing position with a new highway network, the entire 400-kilometer-long Northern Marmara Motorway was put into service.
Connecting the Asian and European continents, the Northern Marmara Motorway will provide a high standard, safe, quality and uninterrupted transportation that will ease the transportation of the Marmara Region, which hosts the largest industrial zones of our country.
