The opening ceremony of the power plant with a capacity of 4.8 MW, which was built within Limak Mozambique Cement (Limak Cimentos S.A.) with an investment of 3.5 million Euros, was held on 12 October 2022 with the participation of Minister of Industry and Trade of Mozambique, Silvino Augusto Jose. Limak Cement CEO M. Erkam Kocakerim, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Maputo Hüseyin Avni Aksoy, Secretary of State for Maputo, Victoria Dias Diogo and the Mayor of Matola, Calisto Cossa were also participated in the ceremony.
