Kosovo Electricity Distribution Company (KEDS) Academy, which aims at providing the energy and electricity sector with qualified workforce and developing a model to combat younger population unemployment in Kosovo, gave its first graduates.
KEDS, the operation of which was acquired by Çalık and Limak in 2013, has set into motion an important social responsibility project in the area of education in Kosovo.
Implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Kosovo, Bogazici University Lifelong Learning Center and the University of Pristina, KEDS Academy’s first graduation ceremony was held at Pristina Emerald Hotel, with the participation of Limak Holding Chairman Mr. Nihat Ozdemir and Calik Enerji General Manager Osman Saim Dinc, Bogazici University Lifelong Learning Center Director Tamer Atabarut, Turkey’s Ambassador in Pristina Songul Ozan, USA’s Ambassador in Pristina Tracey Ann Jacobson, Kosovo’s Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Mahir Yagcilar, Pristina University Rector Anton Berishaj, student families and many guests.
