The general concept of the project, referred to as Phase II of the NEOM Magna Region Aquellum Project, includes excavation works related to the structure located near the Gulf of Aqaba.
The main components of the project include the 86.65-meter-long Mobility Extension Tunnel, a 133-meter-long Water Tunnel, a 588.26-meter-long Master Plan Tunnel, a 518-meter-long Logistic Tunnel, the installation of rock barriers totaling 257 meters in length, and a 126.31-meter-long vertical shaft excavation.
Within the scope of the project, excavation and reinforcement works for the Mobility Extension Tunnel, 70 meters of excavation and reinforcement for the Water Tunnel, excavation and reinforcement at the southern portal of the Master Plan Tunnel, as well as rock barrier drilling, injection, and anchor bolt installation, have been completed. Additionally, portal preparation has been carried out at the northern portal of the Master Plan Tunnel, and a 71-meter pilot drilling operation has been completed in the vertical shaft excavation.
