Connecting Eastern Turkey

This expansive project covers the construction of several connecting areas across the Artvin-Erzurum. Covering Sarıgöl-Öğdem highway, and Ipsir Road The project creates a combined total of 22 tunnels and 9 bridges, bridging greater connections within Eastern Turkey.

Section I

The project, the tender of which was made on 19 December 2018, covers the construction work of the 23,6 kilometers long section of the Sarıgöl-Öğdem highway, which connects the Yusufeli district to the Artvin-Erzurum highway.

2 million 500 thousand cubic meters of open excavation and portal excavation, 548 thousand cubic meters of tunnel excavation, 59 thousand cubic meters of shotcrete, 7 bridges, 28 box culverts, 582 thousand meters of rock bolts, barbakan and driving construction, 205 thousand tons of mechanical and 129 thousand tons of hot bituminous mixture have been completed.

The project was completed in 2022 and opened to traffic.

Section III

The project, which was put in a tender on 19 December 2018, covers the construction work of the the 14.9 km section of the İspir road, which connects to the Artvin-Erzurum highway.

Within the scope of the project, there are 7 tunnels with a length of 12.3 kilometers, bridges with a length of 83 meters, 30 box culverts, 160 thousand tons of mechanical and 83 thousand tons of hot mix with bitumen.

3 million 750 thousand cubic meters of open excavation and portal excavation, 1 million 236 thousand cubic meters of tunnel excavation, 110 thousand cubic meters of shotcrete, 2 bridges, 30 box culverts, 1 million 750 thousand meters of rock bolts, barbakan and driving construction, 160 thousand tons of mechanical and 83 thousand tons of hot bituminous mixture have been completed.

The project was completed in 2022 and opened to traffic.
