Senegal’s new international airport “Blaise Diagne” acts as a regional hub and is vital for the country’s growth.
In 2016, Limak-AIBD-Summa A.S. (“LAS”) secured an agreement to complete the construction of the airport and operate it for a period of 25 years.
The airport’s development represented an investment of over €575 million. Investment in the airport is set to increase the annual passenger capacity to over 5 million and annual cargo capacity to over 50,000 tons.

The Blaise Diagne International Airport runway, with a width of 75 meters and a length of 3,500 meters, may accommodate any type of aircraft, including the A380. In addition, aircraft parking areas accept a total of 50 aircraft, including 26 large carrier, 6 small-medium carrier and 18 general flight aircraft.
Since its opening, all certificates such as ANACIM Aerodrome Certificate, ISO 9001-v2015, ISO 14001, ACI Airport Customer Certificate, ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 2, ACI Airport Health Accreditation, ASQ ACI Customer Experience (Level 2), ACA Airport Carbon Accreditation (Level 3), ACI Africa Safety Award Runner Up, etc. have been received to keep the airport operating standards at the highest level. It was selected as the “Best Airport in West Africa” in the ACI ASQ rating.
