Turkey’s Limak İnşaat announced it won a tender to build the new terminal in the Kuwait International Airport for $4.34 billion in a written statement on Aug. 18.
The company, the construction unit of Limak Holding, said the bid of 1.31 billion dinars ($4.34 billion) was approved by the Kuvvait Central Tenders Committee (CTC).
The new terminal building will initially have a capacity of 13 million passengers and vvill be expanded to have a 25-million passenger capacity in the futııre, according to the statement.

The company vvill also manage the operational transition process of the terminal follovving the construction period, said the statement. This tender vvas the largest tender undertaken by a Turkish construction company abroad in one package, according to the statement.
Around 5,000 people vvill be employed in the construction project.
Limak Holding, part of the consortium building Istanbul’s third airport, built the nevv terminal in Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport as vvell as the nevv terminal in the Kosovo Pristina Airport. The company also recently announced it had vvon a tender to build a nevv terminal building of the Rostov Airport in Russia.
