President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah officially inaugurated the start of heavy construction works for the Kuwait International Airport New Terminal in a ceremony attended by including the Crown Prince of Kuwait, the Prime Miniser of Kuwait, ministers, ambassadors, businessmen, bank representatives, bureaucrats and press from Turkey and Kuwait.
With an approximate $4.5 billion bid, Kuwait International Airport’s new terminal construction is the largest tender won abroad in a single package by Turkish contractors.
The airport, which will be one of the most modern and technological constructions in the world, is aimed to be completed long before its time, less than 4 years instead of 6 years, which is recognized by the contract.
On the other hand, a protocol was signed with Kuwait University during this visit to alleviate the project of Engineers Girls of Turkey, which was carried out by Limak Foundation in Turkey with the cooperation of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in Kuwait.
