Rehabilitating the İmamoğlu Irrigation Area

Imamoglu Irrigation area starts from Misis, which is located 20 kilometers east of Adana, in the Lower Ceyhan Plain, and extends to the Kozan district. The project encompasses the construction of the main pipeline and a piped irrigation network intended to irrigate 26,213 hectares of land, along with facility operation for a duration of 36 months.

Within the project’s scope, plans include the installation of 152 thousand meters of GRP, 564 thousand meters of HDPE (PE 100) pipes, as well as the construction of 4,790 art structures, 705 kilometers of operation and maintenance roads, and consolidation works covering approximately 28 thousand hectares of land.

Irrigation had commenced on 22 thousand hectares. During this period, 152 thousand meters of GRP pipe laying was completed. Furthermore, 4,786 art structures, which encompassed 563 thousand 247 meters of HDPE (PE 100) pipes, 2,086 hydrants, 270 suction cups, 691 separations and line closures, 909 evacuations, 830 elbow detection mass concrete units, 621 kilometers of operation and maintenance roads, and 364 meters of horizontal drilling across 8 road routes, were successfully constructed.

Consolidation procedures are currently at 93% completion.
