Bozüyük-Mekece Highway Rehabilitation Project (Section II)

The project, which is being realized by the Limak-Kolin Joint Venture, is financed by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). The related contract was signed on 27 December 2002.

Upon the completion of the project, the heavy vehicle traffic of the Marmara Region will be connected to the southern and eastern parts of Turkey with a safe and convenient highway. This project, which will bring vitality to tourism, will make additional contributions to the economy of the country.

The 44 km long Bozüyük- Mekece Highway, which is connected to the Istanbul-Ankara Main Highway, the most important section of Turkey’s highway network, is projected to have a 2x2 lane. There are four tunnels, eight overpasses, 10 (5x2) junctions and 152 box culverts within the scope of this highway project.
