Transforming the Future of Turkey’s Water Transmission Lines

With the Terkos-İkitelli Transmission Line project, water will be transmitted from Terkos Lake to the İkitelli Drinking Water Treatment Plant and from Terkos Lake to Büyükçekmece Basin to meet the increasing drinking water demand on the European Side.

Within the scope of the project, 98% of the 33.6-kilometer long Ø2500 mm diameter Terkos İkitelli transmission line and 100% of the 12-kilometer Ø400 mm-Ø1000 mm diameter Karacaköy Kuyular system transmission line have been completed, and the work on the suction cup, discharge art, valve room structures continue.

Construction of 9 kilometers of Ø3000 mm diameter transmission line between the Ömerli-Cumhuriyet Treatment Plant is planned.

The entire project is set to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
