The Largest RCC Type Dam in Europe

Situated on the Botan stream within the boundaries of the Siirt-Bitlis province, the Çetin Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) began operations in 2020. As one of Limak Energy’s newest plants, Çetin Dam and HEPP has a total capacity of 420.1 MW and annual average generation capacity of 1.174,70 million kWh. With such capabilities, the plant has played an integral role in supplying the annual electricity needs of the Siirt province. The plant is currently the largest roller-compacted concrete (RCC) type dam in Europe.

IIn accordance with Limak Energy’s commitment to environmental sustainability, the Çetin Dam and HEPP acquired a Zero-Waste Certificate in 2020 following its establishment of a zero-waste management system.

In 2023, it produced a total of 664, 365, 951 kWh of energy.
